I love Twig + Tale and recently made a Breeze shirt for my son and loved the beautiful collar and facing. The pattern came together beautifully and left me thinking, “man, I wish I there was a version for me.”
Dreams come true!
Twig + Tale just released the Breeze shirt for ladies and men. And, to sweeten the pot, the child’s version is also on sale.
It is sweltering hot here in the midwest so I opted for some super airy swiss dots. I recently went to a sewing meetup in Springfield where I scored these at Fabric Outlet.
This top can also easily transfer to cooler temperatures depending on the options and fabrics selected. It has several sleeve options (this is the cap sleeve flounce) and hems (this is top length).
I also chose the optional elastic casing in the back because I like the extra definition.
The facing is beautifully designed but a little fiddly so I interfaced as the instructions suggested and used a zillion billion pins. The result has me jumping for joy and feeling rather sassy with success.
I was part of the pattern testing team and received the pattern in exchange for my work sewing, proofing, photographing, and making general suggestions.
